Despite President Bukele's claims that his methods are the magic recipe for making El Salvador the "safest country in the Western Hemisphere," his policies have led to increased poverty, land displacement, and high rates of migration from El Salvador. Join us for a webinar featuring Yesenia Portillo, Program Director at CISPES (Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador) learn how people in El Salvador and in the diaspora are organizing against Bukele's attacks on the achievements of historic revolutionary struggles that overthrew decades of U.S. backed dictatorships in El Salvador.
Yesenia Portillo is a Salvadoran diaspora organizer with CISPES for over ten years working to mobilize solidarity amongst Salvadoran diaspora and allies in the United States with the popular social movement struggles in El Salvador.
